New Orleans—the Southern city where the jazz is hot, good times are always rolling and the food is filled with heart and soul! Just in time for Mardi Gras on February 17, we’ve got Mardi Gras king cakes from legendary neighborhood favorite, Gambino’s Bakery, where they’ve been perfecting the Mardi Gras tradition since 1949.
This king of king cakes has become a family tradition among many locals. Eaten during New Orleans’ biggest party of the year, Gambino’s makes each king cake by hand using a family Danish dough recipe that is swirled with cinnamon and stuffed with a rich cream cheese filling. This colorful cake is then decorated with their famous icing and sprinkled with purple, green and gold sugars to represent justice, faith and power.
Fatten up your Fat Tuesday with everything you need to decorate Gambino’s famous king cakes as well as bead necklaces, colorful doubloons and a special Mardi Gras poster for the perfect Mardi Gras party in a box!
