NYC’s Iconic FERRARA BAKERY Goes Nationwide

 Ferrara Now Shipping Nationwide

In 1892, Enrico Scoppa & Antonio Ferrara, an opera impresario, opened a charming neighborhood cafe called Café A. Ferrara in New York’s Little Italy to serve traditional Italian desserts to men & women returning from the opera. With secret recipes that span three centuries, this fifth generation family-owned bakery continues to handcraft Italian desserts—from traditional cannoli filled with sweet ricotta cream to their rainbow (tricolori) & pignoli cookies—from the very same location as when they started. Ferrara has been visited by everyone from sitting US presidents to some of New York’s top chefs, including Alex Guarnaschelli, who named their sfogliatella (a flaky pastry filled with ricotta) & lobster tail pastries as her choice for her last meal on Food Network’s The Best Thing I Ever Ate. Now one of NYC’s oldest bakeries is shipping their classic Italian desserts nationwide for centuries to come!
