What Is Guy Fieri’s Most Famous Food?
Guy Fieri’s most famous food is Trash Can Nachos. Guy Fieri’s nachos are a shareable comfort food that is made of:
- Black Beans
- Cheddar Cheese
- Cilantro Sprigs

The dish is assembled by spreading out the tortilla chips on a baking sheet. Then, the black beans are spooned on top. The cheese sauce is poured over the tortilla chips. Then, shredded cheese is sprinkled on top and Guy’s Signature BBQ Sauce is drizzled over the nachos.
If there is meat, it is placed on top. The nachos are heated in the oven and then gently placed and layered inside the can.
Sour cream is squeezed in a zig-zag on top of three layers of chips. Finally, the cilantro, Jalapenos, pico de gallo, and pickled red onions are placed on top. Once the mini trash can is filled, twist and shake the can with both handles to reveal a tower of nachos.
Where Did Trash Can Nachos Originate?
Trash Can Nachos were first served at the South Beach Food & Wine Festival in 2015. Guy Fieri needed to make a mega batch of nachos during a live cooking demo but he didn’t have a container large enough to make the colossal finger food. He used a large — and clean! — metal trash can to create a tall tower of nachos.
The concept was so popular he added them to the menus of several of his restaurants. The signature nachos are on the menus at Guy Fieri’s Dive Bar and Taco Joint in Kansas City, Missouri, and Guy Fieri’s American Kitchen & Bar, which has 12 locations in the U.S. and five outposts overseas.
Guy Fieri debuted his kit for making his signature nachos at home on Goldbelly in December 2020. Fieri’s collaboration with Goldbelly made these layered nachos available nationwide.
